February 16, 2010 : Litter Summary & Availability Status

Overall a great litter. I was pleased with the temperaments, and the conformation of the puppies. As expected, we got some prey drive, and a bunch of happy pups! Venus is a focused, obedient girl, so I am not surprised to see the degree I did, in the litter. There were no trouble makers, or self indulgence at all. (Whew!) There were many showy, confident pups. I saw Big Jake a lot as we proceeded through the tests. There was a nice range of temperaments, and we did get our hard puppy!! (I thought we might!) I look forward to seeing several of these pups in the show ring in the future

SOLD :: Red aka Vixen : Brown sable plush female, Pet-up. Medium to Medium-soft. She has a lower pain tolerance. She is another obedience prospect, and is focused on her person and very willing to please. She was a little worried when the tester set her down and walked away, but quickly followed. She happily forgave him for leaving her. She does have some play and prey drive, especially the squeaky and the tug. She made it 3/4 of the way through the maze and got stuck. She thought about it, and finished the remaining 1/4 of the way, and you could see she was proud of herself. availability updated 3/24/2010

SOLD :: Purple: Medium temperament, dark gray sable smooth female. Breeding/Show. She is a happy puppy and very focused. She is also a thinker. She got stuck in the maze at first, stopped and thought (you could see the wheels turning in her head), peeked over the edge, and straight out. She investigated the toys, but not a lot of drive. She has nice side movement and good reach, nice topline, straight tail, dark pigment, and that willing to please attitude. This is one I would love to see in the show ring.

SOLD :: Hot Pink: Medium temperament, Pet-upgradeable, golden sable smooth. She had super high pain tolerance, and mid range submission, but showed some worry in the beginning. She wants direction and wants to please her people. She did perfect on the maze and went back into the maze after the test was over. She has prey drive and play drive, and loved the tug, the ball and the can. She really came out of her shell with the toys, and the maze, and was showing her spunky personality. She would do great in obedience work.

SOLD :: Light Pink: Light brown sable plush, Breeding female. She is a Medium temperament leaning toward Medium-soft. She did show a bit of independence during testing, and was an alert and focused puppy. Not much interest in the toys. She did investigate, but did not play with them. She is a showy girl when moving; proud and great reach. She is a bit of a flirt, and made sure she greeted everyone at the LER following the tests. She has higher pain tolerance, and higher range submission. She reminds me a lot of her Mama. She is an alert and "thinking" puppy.

*SOLD* Black Collar Boy: Dark gray sable plush male. Medium to med-hard temperament. Breed quality. He is a showy, bouncy, fun and energetic puppy. He was focused on the tester, and was pouncing and bouncing with all the tests involving the toys. He has prey drive and play drive. He was quick in the maze and very gun sure. Several things he did during the testing reminded me of Grandpa Siri, mostly the happy outlook of the world and his nice movement, and of course his look. He will be a fun, active pup, and I bet he has a sense of humor as well.

*SOLD* Light Blue: Brownish-gray sable plush male, Medium temperament, with a tad dependence on his people. Breed quality. He has super high pain tolerance and mid range on submission. Some prey drive and play drive. He is full of himself, energetic, and a happy boy. He has decent bone, straight tail and balanced movement, but not a lot of reach. He would be fun for someone who wanted to try out showing.

*SOLD* Green Collar Boy: Golden Sable smooth male. Medium-soft temperament. He is confident, proud and a very willing worker. He has beautiful movement, showy attitude, proud and confident. He is a willing worker, and was happily wagging his tail throughout the testing. He has just a tad play and prey drive, but more interest in people. He will be a great Obedience prospect. In the maze, he decided the fastest way out was up and over at the center, then again at the end. He has a lower pain tolerance, and mid range submission.

*SOLD* Lime Collar: Hard temperament, dark gray sable smooth male. He will be colored a lot like his cousin Ranger. He is happy, playful, and very focused. He is showy and a bit of a show off. He has nice balanced movement, and is very gun sure. He went 1/2 way in the maze then decided up and over was much easier for the second half. Ma said he is built like a working dog, and has the temperament for SAR, or other endurance type activities. He was a Zero on submission... immediately kicking and yelling about being on his back. He showed no reaction at all to pain. We kept counting, and went well above 15. He had NO reaction to the pain test, no twitching of ears, no twich of a foot....nothing!

*SOLD* Dark Blue collar: Golden sable smooth male, Medium to Med-soft temperament. He has a high pain tolerance, but is also very submissive. He was relaxed well over the count of 10 on his back. He is a calmer pup and a tad cautious. He is not at all fearful though. He has some prey drive and a bit of play drive. He was very focused on the tester. He will do very well in Obedience, as he wants to please his people. He has very nice movement and reach. He has nice bone, dark pigment, nice ear size, set, and shape, nice level topline, and overall a well put together puppy. Ma liked this boy. He is built for flashy, showy movement, and he will be our Show puppy.
